French Holiday Accommodation

My friends and I wanted to enjoy a nice quiet and relaxing holiday to France, where we could enjoy each other's company, cooking, and take in some local French culture.

Rather than staying in a hotel, we were interested in a villa or gite so that we could enjoy our own pool, cook some authentic local produce and spend our evenings in some privacy.

French Maison was the perfect website for us, offering a wide range of privately owned French holiday accommodation. We picked a gorgeous and rustic-looking gite in the South West of France that was just what we all had in mind, with it's private pool, spacious rooms and exposed beams.

I can honestly say that this was the best holiday the six of us has ever been on. Everything was perfect from our arrival to our sad and reluctant departure. I can't recommend using French Maison's services higher, the whole experience was fantastic.

Bulgarian Properties

Some friends and I travelled to Bulgaria on holiday last year, on the recommendation of my mum, who had been the previous year. We flew into Bourgas airport, and stayed in a lovely hotel in Sunny Beach. The resort was great, and I instantly fell in love with the country after visiting some more of it's beautiful sights, such as Bourgas and Nessebar.

After considering the idea of buying a holiday home for a while, I had an initial look into the possibility of purchasing a villa in Bulgaria.

I found The Vines, a branch of McAlpine Homes online, who have got a brilliant range of new-built Bulgarian properties. I was looking for a two bedroom villa, to allow a few friends or family to stay, and so took a look through what they had to offer.

I found a beautiful villa in a great-looking location at a price that was really affordable. After contacting The Vines, I've arranged to visit the property next month. Touch wood, I will hopefully be taking more trips to Bulgaria, this time staying in my very own villa.

When looking for a good stockist of ink cartridges, after finally refusing to pay ridiculous supermarket prices, I found Mister-Ink to have unbelievable prices compared to what I was used to.

Fire Blankets

After a minor kitchen fire, in which panic ensued, and it was left to my husband to save the day with a bucket of water and a few, now charred towels.

To ensure nothing like this happened again, I decided it would be wise to invest in a fire blanket for additional safety and peace of mind.

A quick search on the Internet led me to The Extinguisher Store, where I was presented with a number of styles and casings of fire blankets. I was able to select from JackPacks, Flexible Packs or Square Packs.

Refurbishments

I wanted to make what was currently a entirely unremarkable fireplace into the focal point of my sitting room. I had a good idea of the kind of design that interested me, but found nothing that even came close from local shops and builders.

The work on my wonderfully crafted bespoke fireplace was completed in what seemed like no time at all to my absolute elation. The quality of the work was astounding, and the finished product exactly as was agreed upon. I couldn't recommend EC Maintenance any higher.

Much Wenlock Pubs

If you live in the Shropshire area, or even if you don't, I would seriously advise making the effort to find some time in The Fox Inn.

The Fox Inn is the cream-of-the-crop when it comes to Much Wenlock pubs, serving a wide array of bottled beers and an extensive wine list. You must try their local ale, brewed just around the corner in Cleobury Mortimer. Hobson Town Crier is a gorgeously smooth and creamy pint, which serves as the perfect end to the day, enjoyed as you laze into one of the Fox's relaxing sofas, in front of the roaring open fire.

If you're hungry, the Fox's bar snacks are simply to die for, with a fantastic menu including a gorgeous homemade goats cheese tart, local rump steak and chunky chips, and an always fantastically hearty soup with crusty bread.

The Fox is draped in history, dating back to the seventeenth century and can now boast the additional status of being a Grade II listed building. The pub combines its rich history with a more modern decor to cater for all customers.

The Fox is a truly delightful venue to spend an evening eating, drinking and if you have too much of either (or both) spend the night in one of their gorgeously decorated rooms.

North London Residential Care

Connifers Care offer the highest standard of North London residential care, and I'm so glad that my brother and I chose them to be his new full-time home.

He's settled in so well and is loving every minute at Connifers' Willow House. He is able to go on regular trips to the cinema, bowling alley and swimming pool with his new friends and carers. He also gets the opportunity for the first time in his life to live independantly and is thriving in the conditions.

Connifers Care have been brilliant from the start, always keeping my brother's, and my interests at heart. I have always been consulted on decisions about care plans and activities, as they really take the time to involve their client's full-time carer.

Their care homes are all fantastic; very spacious, very homely and each room is individually styled for each client. I'm so glad we chose Connifers Care, they've made mine and my brother's lives so much happier.

My boyfriend recently revealed to me (obviously after feeling comfortable enough to say so) that in the past he has used leather to be a real turn-on. Hockey Stick

My Brother Josh’s life pretty much revolves around the game of hockey. I think since he was old enough to grip he’s had a little stick in his hand, dribbling round the house; both with a ball and from his mouth!
