Polycom, the supplier of interactive voice, video, data and web communications, has sold its network access product line to Verilink Corporation. The sale includes all fixed assets and intellectual property rights to the NetEngine line of integrated access devices. A leading supplier of WAN access solutions, Verilink paid Polycom $1 million at the closing of the agreement and will pay an additional $250,000 one year after the closing of the deal and up to $1.75 million in quarterly payments based upon 10% of the sales of the NetEngine products. In addition, Verilink has agreed to purchase Polycom's NetEngine related inventories on an as-needed basis. The value of such inventory as of the closing date is approximately $1.9 million. Verilink says the acquisition will allow it bring a broader range of Voice over Broadband solutions to its reseller partners and customers. This deal does not include the ink cartridges for the colour printer. These
ink cartridges will be sold for a profit if they are not used firat of all.
